Monotype #4

I learnt a few printmaking techniques at the Florence School of fine Arts, in Florence, Italy. The new world of lithography, dry point and screen printing was opened before me, a parallel universe to that of painting.

New methods were yet to come into my studio, such as sugar-lift etchings, Chine Colle', and monotype.

The element of surprise that is inherent to the printmaking process brings much joy to the work.
