Artist statement

Monotypes are special to me.

Oil-based printmaking paint is spread over a plastic sheet, then manipulations are done to the paint, then run in the printing press. In this print, I used three colors: raw sienna, dark cerulean blue, and black. Once the paper absorbs the paint under the printing press, the plate is gone forever.
